EVP-Electronic Voice Phenomenon  is the phenomenon of capturing spirit voices, either on audio device's,video camera's or on digital recorder. An EVP occurs when a voice can be heard on a recording that is not audible at the time of recording. There are many theories about how EVP's occur, many people believe that the frequency of the sound that is being recorded is beyond what the human ear can hear. Others believe that an EVP occurs when a spirit entity manipulates the recording device directly.

The following sound clips are of EVP's (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) that we have captured on some of our investigations. EVP 1

At the start of this clip you will hear HRPI historian Andy talking in the background, at around 4 seconds into the clip you will hear what sounds like a loud popping or banging sound (HRPI's Jon & Mark Were in the room the noise came from at the time and both of them described the noise they heard as being similar to glass smashing or a light bulb popping, even though there is no electric current running through the hall anywhere). Kirsty & Andy also heard the noise from the adjoining room, there is no explanation as to what this sound could have been as we did a search of the area and found nothing that could have made the sound we all heard also Jon & Mark felt the noise was aimed at them in a bid to scare them away.

EVP 2

At the start of this clip you will hear what sounds like a loud growling or grunting noise which is then followed by HRPI's Mark saying "Who was that?" which is followed by HRPI's Kirsty saying "Did you hear that?"

EVP 3

In this clip you will hear HRPI's Kirsty say "A bang on that wall" which is followed by a similar loud grunting or growling noise as the one in EVP 2 but this time the noise is not noticed by the HRPI team

EVP 4

*Please Note* For This EVP you may need to turn your volume up quite high

At the start of this clip you will hear a loud high pitched screaming in the distance (listen closely) you will then hear HRPI's Mark say "Did you hear that?" & HRPI's Andy replies with "Yeah like a scream". All of the HRPI team heard screaming on several occasions throughout the investigation. 

EVP 5

At 2 seconds into this clip you will hear a voice say "Hmmm" this is acknowledged by all of the HRPI team & was heard earlier in the investigation by Kirsty

EVP 1

At 2/3 seconds into this clip you will hear what sounds like a very strange groaning sound we at HRPI cannot explain where this noise is coming from & would like to stress that this is NOT any member of the HRPI team

EVP 1

At the start of this clip you will hear what sounds like a young girl laughing or giggling which is then acknowledged by all the HRPI team, we can honestly say that this is not any female member of our team who was present on this investigation

EVP 2

At three seconds into this clip you will clearly hear a voice say "I hated you"

EVP 3

In this clip you will hear HRPI's Kirsty say "It's getting stronger" she is then met with a reply of "Quiet"

EVP 1

At the start of this clip you will hear Andy say "And i promise to bring Jon back in" this is followed by a small dog barking three times. There were no Dogs in the pub at the time & the owner's do not own a dog

EVP 2

At the start of this clip you will hear Andy & Carol talking in muffled voices you will then clearly hear a voice say "Who Are Ya" you will then again hear Andy talking about Roundheads this is met with a very loud manly groaning noise

EVP 3

In this clip you will hear Andy say "Do you not realise your a ghost, do you still believe your alive" he is then met by a short pause and then a voice replies with "I am"

EVP 4

In this clip you will hear Carol say "We only want to talk to you" which is followed by whispering and then a voice say's "Hello"

EVP 5

At the start of this clip you will hear Andy say "Was that you" he gets a reply of "Yeah"
