Jon, Kirsty & Mark
Corridor
On the initial walkabout around the property, Jon felt a cold breeze coming up the corridor which leads to the bedrooms, it seemed to pass to the left hand side of him and then move towards bedroom one. Kirsty and Mark also picked up on the presence of a woman who would walk up and down this corridor.
Bedroom One
When entering this bedroom Mark and Jon both got instant headaches just above their eyes. Kirsty picked up on the presence of an eight year old boy called Daniel or Danny as he liked to be called, he was adopted by the people who used to live at the property and the people use to punish Danny by putting him in a cupboard, which is now used as a place to store clothes. In an EVP session in the cupboard we picked up on a voice saying “Hi” in response to Kirsty and Mark asking questions, also in this bedroom we caught light anomalies on camera and we heard tapping noises coming from the skirting boards, and a chair was heard to creek on a few occasions.
On a couple of occasions the temperature dropped by about three degrees and while I was using the infrared thermometer on the cupboard door the temperature increased in degree from thirteen to twenty in steps of one degree at a time when I was asking it too and then I asked it to drop down in degree and then it began to drop back from twenty to thirteen again in steps of one degree at a time.
Bedroom Two
Jon and Mark both felt a cold breeze in this room that vanished after a while, Kirsty and Mark both felt that whoever slept in this room would have an uneasy night’s sleep. We saw light anomalies on camera and as we went for a break we left the bedroom door open, but when we returned we noticed that door was now half closed. Kirsty felt a chair in this room wasn’t original to this property and that it had a spirit attached to it.
Bedroom Three
Both Mark and Kirsty felt uneasy in this room as they both picked up on the same evil presence, both of them sensed that someone had died in this room from an prolong illness. Kirsty felt that this bedroom was the most evil place she had ever investigated before. Mark sensed that Danny liked to stare out of the window in this room.
The evil spirit we picked up on in the glass divination session claimed to be calling himself “Eddie Williams” but Mark and Kirsty both believed that this wasn’t his real name and that he was playing games with us and he would use the energy of the electrical sun tan booth that was in the room to manifest itself.
In our glass divination session we picked up on Danny, who told us he was scared of the evil presence and Eddie was stopping him moving on, then the glass went violently and it seemed Danny had left and the evil presence had come forward and he wanted the occupants of the flat to leave and he took a dislike to Kirsty and she felt someone breathe in front of her face like someone was stood in front of her, this breathing noise was heard by Mark.
In a table tilting session the table rocked violently and flipped over on several occasions with the Haunted Realm team and with family and friends of the occupants.
Also in this room we had good response to us knocking on the bedroom wall, when we knocked on the wall in bedroom three we got a reply from bedroom one, we also heard various banging and tapping noises and Kirsty saw someone outside the door on the corridor walking pass, when Jon went to check there was nobody on the corridor or in any of the other bedrooms.
House Cleansing Ritual
The Haunted Realm team and the occupants felt a house cleansing ritual was necessary to get rid of this evil presence, Kirsty did the cleansing in all the rooms and instantly the flat felt calmer and had a more relaxed atmosphere and felt less depressive.
Days after the cleansing we was informed that the occupants felt more relaxed and had the best night’s sleep they had ever had in ages.
(Jon) I have no concrete or hard evidence to back up any claims that this flat was apparently haunted. The table tilting and glass divinations sessions were not scientifically controlled for my liking to be accurate in my sceptic opinion. I would like to thank the occupants and the family and friends who attended the vigils over the three weeks for their very kind hospitality
(Kirsty) I found the investigation very intriguing as I was surprised to encounter the type of activity we did. I was very apprehensive towards the malevolent spirit in the property as I wasn’t too sure of how it would react towards us being there and it made me feel very unnerved by its dislike towards me. I do feel that the cleansing ritual I performed will have helped move any negative spirits on but I do believe the property still has the little boy residing there.

Living room
Both Kirsty and Mark picked up the presence of a woman in her late fifties, who had died from smoke inhalation but her husband survived and later died in another location, but she stays on in the house, the place she felt most happy and she has attached herself to the children of the property.
Kirsty sensed another woman in the living room and picked upon the presence of an elderly lady that kept giving her a message to pass on to occupant of the house, later we found out that this woman who Kirsty was picking up on turned out to be the Nan/grandma of the occupant of the house.
We heard moaning noises on several occasions and also a murmuring noise from the bottom of the stairs, we also heard footsteps in the main bedroom and the kitchen door handle moved like someone was coming in.
We also got cold spots mainly behind the sofa and in front of where everyone was sitting they would come and go. A teddy bear that was placed on the carpet facing the television moved while we was talking, but unfortunately we never caught this on camera or saw it move.
In a glass divination session all we picked up upon were family members of Tracy and Nicola.
While filming in the living room Jon felt a sharp pain on his neck and on closer inspection Kirsty noticed that his neck had been scratched in a few places.
Up Stairs
Again we heard what sounded like footsteps coming from the main bedroom; Andy picked up on the presence of a woman called Mary, could this be the woman who had died in the house from smoke inhalation. Jon and the owner of the house heard a loud breathing noise and Andy felt someone touching his arm.
Co-founders Final Conclusions
(Jon) A fascinating investigation with some interesting results especially in the living room and with the evps we caught there. I can’t explain the loud moaning noise we all heard in the living room .I would like to thank the owner of the house for her kind hospitality.

The Cock Inn Investigation

The Cock formally known as The Cock Inn Rubery,
Outside the front of the pub
Mark sensed that high ranking Romans would be carried along a road outside where The Cock now stands and taken to bathe in the near by Roman baths, later this was confirmed that a Roman settlement would have been in this area at that time and a Roman settlement was found by archaeologists.
Inside the public bar
Mark picked up on the presence of a man called “Albert” who was a former landlord of The Cock Inn and this was backed up by the currant landlord and landlady who confirmed that a man named “Albert Grimes” did once own the pub, he would walk with a walking stick due to the fact he had something wrong with his feet or lower back problems.
While Mark and Jon where checking out the backrooms a regular of The Cock for over 35 years came to talk to us and she remembered Albert and that he did in fact walk with a walking stick due to the fact he had a club foot and he would walk by shuffling his feet.
She remembers Albert leaving The Cock Inn to his daughter on instructions she never sold the property to the brewery, but she did sell it to the brewery without his permission which caused major problems and he never spoke to her again.
When Albert died the brewery got two gay men to run the pub, they had two dogs and that’s when the problems started in the pub, it is said Albert haunted the pub to get rid of the two men and it is said he tormented the dogs and he would tickle members of staff and this still happens to the staff these days.
Albert Grimes daughter now in her late 70’s came and visited The Cock Inn some years ago and she was asked about former owners of the pub and she confirmed that two gay gentlemen did once own the pub and that they had trouble with paranormal happenings not just to themselves but too the dogs and there staff.
Main cellar
Richie and Allen both heard what sounded like shuffling feet coming from near the stairs in the cellar, Mark, Diane and Claire all heard what sounded like someone tapping on a glass which was near a box on the floor. Most if not all of us began to get very bad headaches while we was down there and on a couple of occasions we saw what looked like a black shape moving about in the cellar.
Crisps began to rattle in a box on one of the shelves like someone was trying to pick them up. Richie thought he heard something jump or fall in front of him and on closer inspection we couldn’t find anything on the floor.
Jon began to pick up a smell of an apple or a similar sweet smelling odour.
Some of us had problems with our digital cameras and recording equipment as they would turn off, even all the batteries where either fully charged or brand new. Also in the main cellar, Mark, Andy, Claire and Diane all heard what sounded like a cat.
Lower Cellar
Andy saw his first full appreciation while in the lower cellar of the pub while doing EVP sessions with fellow HRPI member Mark; he said a boy about 15 appeared right bang next to Mark and that this boy had blonde hair and that he could clearly see him and this made him feel uncomfortable and he wanted to leave the confines of the small cellar in a hurry.
When HRPI Jon and Richie and Allen went in there they got tapping noises on demand like someone was trying to communicate to them. Richie also heard what sounded like a cat while in the lower cellar and he also got tickling on his lower back.
Back Rooms of the pub
While everyone was doing some glass divination sessions the EMF meter increased in sound and Jon heard what sound like a dog panting on the stairs right next to him

(Jon) A fascinating investigation and really enjoyable working alongside members of Paranormal The Otherside team and Claire and Diane too. Nothing out of the ordinary happened but nerveless we caught some very interesting EVP’s and heard some intriguing audibles on the night.

Spare Bedroom (Main Activity)
Kirsty and Mark both picked up on the presence of two people straight away in this room, a female by the name of Sarah, who was a drug user and a prostitute. She couldn’t have children and her family turned there back on her after moving in with the other presence mark and Kirsty picked up on, he had long greasy hair and he was dirty in his appearance, he also was a drug user and he had a very violent temper as he would hit Sarah and make her prostitute herself out when they had run out of money, drugs, drink and food.
Often Sarah could be seen outside the top of the stairs hiding away and keeping out of the way of her violent partner and she would only enter the flat again when she knew he had fallen asleep.
While investigating this room both Gemma and Kirsty while lying on the bed both felt a heavy weight was placed up on them and they had a trouble getting up and both of them described what felt like someone was trying to touch them sexually.
We also had problems with the EMF meter in this room, at on stage it even turned itself on and then you could clearly hear it turn off again.
Mark, Gemma and Andrew all saw what looked like a black mass move across the floor, it stood about two foot tall and then it just vanished.
Jon had the sensation that his t-shirt was being pulled.
Living room
Mark, Tracy and Nicola all heard footsteps while in this room.
All the other evidence we picked up on the night we have kept private due to it was family related and we do not feel it is right to disclose this information as it is private to the owner of the property.
Co-founders Final Conclusions
(Jon) Every investigation is worth attending in my opinion, the lack of physical evidence in this case leaves me in know doubt that something maybe occurring. But I’m not saying what is happening in this property is paranormal as I have no scientific evidence to back this up. The only thing I can’t explain is the EMF meter turning itself on and off as I have no rational scientific explanation to how this was occurring.

Main Bedroom
Kirsty picked upon the presence of a girl aged about seven or eight by the name of Amy she died due to drowning, but not by natural causes but by her father who drowned her in the bath. She resides at the house because she feels the owner of the house is motherly towards her as the mother of the house has seen and felt the presence of the little girl in the house many times and she even seems to follow her around even to other locations and properties.
Kirsty believes the mother knew what happened to her daughter but both of her parents covered up what really happened in this house and that both of them got away with what they did.
Kirsty also picked upon the presence of an elderly gentleman who also died in this property and he is not there to hurt or arm anyone, people just sense that he is there by either hearing him or the scent of him or by the smell of smoke in the house.
While in the main bedroom filming the walkabout like Haunted Realm do, Kirsty and Jon both heard knocking noises on the wall coming from the boys bedroom when we began to talk about Amy, also while Kirsty, Gemma, Nicola and Tracy where in the main bedroom all four of them saw what looked like a black mist in one of the mirrors on the wall that change shape into a human form and it began to pulsate in and out of the mirror. They also all heard footsteps out on the landing which was also confirmed by Jon and Andrew in the Boys bedroom as they both heard the same footsteps. All the women saw the indoor television ariel move on top of the TV.
Also in this room everyone heard a whistling noise that sounded like a young girl was doing this also various tapping and banging noises were also heard while doing a vigil in this room.
The landing Area
Andy and Jon both heard footsteps on the landing while they were holding a vigil in the boy’s bedroom, which was heard by all the women in the main bedroom. Jon and Andy both saw a very bright light anomaly moving across the landing.
Boy’s Bedroom
Andy and Jon didn’t pick anything up while in this room but the women felt this was the coldest part of the house all of them heard various tapping and banging noises, Gemma and Nicola both felt someone was tickling them and they heard what sounded like paper rustling. Kirsty began to call out and loud knocking noises could be clearly heard and when asked to repeat the knocking the same happened again for about twenty seconds in response to Kirsty’s voice.
Stocksbridge Bypass Investigation, Sheffield 14th August 2009:

Like on other investigations we have done up at Stocksbridge the batteries began to drain very quickly due to the amount of electromagnetic interference emitted from the pylons that are spread out over the landscape of Stocksbridge.
Mark began to take random pictures of the fields that you can see from the public foot path and to his amazement he captured what looks like a circle of lights in a field that was in total darkness.
Kirsty and Andy both began to see what looked like figures further down the footpath, one was dressed in all black and seemed to vanish into the side of the field and the one Kirsty saw was dressed in white, had no facial features at all and was startled to see us there, it was completely stunned like a rabbit caught in a cars headlights and then he just moved into the side of the field and vanished too but as he left Kirsty noticed that he seemed to be wearing either a long coat or cloak that seemed to drag behind him as he moved in the night air.
We all began to hear different noises from laughter to someone shouting and it didn’t sound like the noise was coming from the main part of Stocksbridge further down the hillside.
Kirsty also saw what looked like a black shape hovering just above the ground in the same direction as the other person she saw.
Whilst we were investigating an off the beat dirt track at the lower part of the bypass, Mark’s car began to unlock itself and the lights would come on in the car and this happened three times while we was there. Kirsty and Mark also tried different ways of making this happen, from trying to unlock the doors from the inside to leaving one of the windows down and reaching in and unlocking the door, to even trying to open the doors on the car when it was locked up but nothing would cause the same effect on the car. We also heard whistling around the car and a strong feeling that we were being watched.
