Haunted Realm Paranormal Investigators

Where The Paranormal Is Normal

HRPI Interview Stephen Griffiths:

Paranormal Investigator For The Second Series of Living TV's Living With The Dead, Founder of Swadlincote Paranormal Investigations & Full Time Professional Disc Jockey.

How did you first become interested in the Paranormal?

It may have started with my first ghost sighting at my mums house, when I was about 11 years old, I was so sure that I had seen a ghost moving across my bedroom and it went through my bedroom  door, I screamed my head off. Then over the years people told me about a ghost train, they saw at midnight, you could see and hear an old train coming over the hills, years I stayed up looking for that train I never did see it. I loved  the old classic black & white films like Frankenstein with Peter Cushing, The Devil's Rain & F.W .Murnau's silent masterpiece Nosferatu (1922), I started to collect the magazine called - "THE UNEXPLAINED" every week. I was about 15 when i saw three UFO's over the fields near an Amy base. Other people saw them too, it was all over the local news paper at the time. looking back I don't think I never stop thinking about ghosts or the Paranormal.

Who was the most influential to you when you were starting out?

I don't think there was anyone..

Can you remember your very first Investigation?

I was about 16 years old, It was in an old School house in a village called Blackfordby in Leicestershire.

What investigation really got you excited?

There are so many places , may be the one that stands out is a private house in Chesterfield, there was so much stuff going on. I had a full SPI team and a Vicar & Mediums on that night. We had  never see so much Paranormal activity on one night. There is a snippet on our DVD.

How did you get involved working on Living with the Dead and what was it like working with Ian Lawman and Johnnie Fiori?

Well me and Phil Whyman went over to an event in Derby for a charity (children in need hosted by Derby paranormal Haunters) , that's when me & Phil met Mark Webb I think he had just finished filming "Haunted homes". We got chatting so I invited him to one or two SPI events. One day  we received an email saying that Living TV were looking for a new team, to start a all new show called "Living with the dead" and if we knew of any haunted house's, we provided the production team in London  with three haunted houses around Swadlincote. In a way I did recommended Mark for the job. They used the one called "The ghost in the attic" whichI played a small part in, as a Investigator  with Diane King as the Medium as we found a haunted chair in the attic space. So a year later they started with the second series, Mark Webb had private matters and said he could not do the second series with Ian & Johnnie. So the production team approached me, I said I'd give it a go!!. I managed to get through the 8 weeks of filming and  managing to get  my old van  around the UK in one piece lol. Working with Ian & Johnnie was a life changing experience we had some fun off screen.

On Living with the dead what was the best investigation you came across and why?

It must be the Blackpool one for me, that house is so haunted. Me and Ian at the time were standing at the top of the stairs, we hard the sound of a spirit coming from nowhere saying " I AM WITH YOU " we could not believe what we heard, for me that is the best one..I have been back to Blackpool working with Sue to find more answers whyy that property is so haunted.

How do you balance being a full time professional Disc Jockey and a paranormal investigator?, What is it like to go from running your own paranormal investigation team to being on a well known tv show? (also what do your team think about this)

Most of my D.J work  is at the weekends so most of the week is free, to investigate with my team. And as for filming with LWTD most of the filming was from Monday  to Wednesday .Running our own paranormal investigation team, we all have full time jobs so  we only  put as much time as possible. To be honest with you no-one knows who I am lol.

What are your plans for the future and will Living with the dead return for another series?

I do not know if we are getting  another series, Its up to LivingTV. It would be nice to get a third series so we can get the  team back together. It's not only Ian, Johnnie & I, its the girl and boys in the hole production team putting the show together making it a good show and my goal is to try to help the public with there ghostly problems and saying that we believe you in the same why that SPI do and trying to make a believable TV program. My plans for the Paranormal, I think I will be invalid in the unknown and the unexplained phenomena. as for my full time job, I am still trying to make people dance and have fun at there parties..
